Card and PIN readers


Card and PIN (Personal Identification Number)  verification readers are used when a higher level of security is required at the door as compared to PIN only or card only readers. These type of readers will stop an unauthorised user to access a door if a stolen/lost card is used. Keypad data is transmitted via the reader’s data lines in either an 8-Bit Burst or 26-Bit Wiegand data format. The alpha-numeric keypad itself makes use of a durable (no moving parts), non-mechanical capacitive technology. It includes advanced enhancements including blue backlighting and a continuously illuminated 5-key. The read range of this reader is 1521mm and measures 117 x 77 x 18 mm  To allow both indoor and outdoor operation the electronics are sealed in tamper resistant epoxy potting.
